MBM- 2

25

This is the first volume of a new collection published by Terranova and directed by specialist Guillem Celada, dedicated to iconic objects from Spanish industrial design History. It is dedicated to the MBM-2 wall lamp, created by the architecture studio headed by Martorell, Bohigas, and Mackay, and winner of a Delta award in 1966. The book consists of two academic texts that examine the appearance and implementation of the product in public spaces, as well as the immediate influence that led to a multitude of variations and copies, along with an extensive visual essay featuring photographs by Pol Masip that show the current presence of the lamp in the doorways of Barcelona and its surroundings.
